Trip To Twickenham

Trip To Twickenham

Katie's daughter Daisy plays rugby and takes it very seriously indeed. She plays for the Tynedale Panthers, our local club in Corbridge and also represents Northumberland and the North of England. Nick, Katie's husband and Daisy's dad is a girl's coach at Tynedale and recently received a fantastic award from the RFU as a Kids First Champion for the work the coaches have done building girls rugby at the club.

The reward from the RFU and their sponsor Old Mutual Wealth was a trip for 16 young players and 4 coaches to do a rugby demonstration on the pitch at Twickenham before last Saturday's Autumn International and then form the guard of honour as the players ran out onto the pitch. They had their own changing rooms and went onto and left the pitch via the player's tunnel.

Daisy and Nick's feet have still not touched the ground since they returned in the early hours on Sunday morning and he could only describe it as "spine tingling!". Daisy described it as "the best day out ever"!
