We'd like to put one of our favourite brands in the spotlight for you. Kazuri; an amazing ethically driven company which make the most beautiful products.
All the pieces are made in a workshop a few miles away from Nairobi. Kazuri only employ local Kenyan women to hand make all the jewellrey themselves. They are paid extremely well, in fact three times more than the average wage for a woman working agriculturally in that area. They are given many other benefits such as access to a clinic and a large percentage of their healthcare costs paid for.

The jewellrey is made from beads which are sculpted by hand and then fired in a kiln before being painted and glazed. These gorgeous beads are then hand crafted into an assortment of lovely jewellrey pieces. We love the mixture of neutral and bright colours that Kazuri offers. All their pieces are so wearable, and can transform an ordinary outfit into a more distinctive look.
So not only are the wonderful Kazuri accessories a beautiful addition to your collection, they have an interesting story behind them. Every single item from them is so special, and they can be worn with pride knowing that you have avoided buying something mass produced. Kazuri go beyond fair trade standards and have made lives better for so many women.
